"Thirty six major awards. Four-time Brewers International Champion. Four-time CAMRA Beer of the Year. Simply put, the muse for this kit has won more awards than any other English beer, period. From very simple ingredients comes a wonderfully well- balanced dram. Spicy, herbal, and English biscuits. Flashes of clean citrus and chewy minerals blend into a complex finish that is refreshingly bitter and remarkably dry. The way a pint was meant to taste. Truly spot on!"
We shall see.
Here is the tale of the tape:

mmmm...yummy...this is a truly spot on pint. I was a bit worried about the relatively little and late action in the primary. I was also worried about finishing as I did not use the secondary but pitched directly to the keg from the primary. Nevertheless, the beer is a little bitter, dry, and the noble hops are foregrounded in a nice and complex spiciness. The beer makes up in flavor for what it lacks in clarity. In fact, it looks like a wheat beer and my sister in law even suggested in would be good with orange. I think she is totally right. A slice of orange or lemon would make the citrus flavor more prominent. Worth a shot anyway, eh matey?
